The Ethics and Anti-corruption has touched off investigations into the activities of 30 police officers after establishing that two of them had received bribes amounting to 37 million shillings.Halaqhe Waqo revealed that the officers were mainly operating along Thika Road Super Highway.One of the police officers, it was established, was found to have made a series of transactions amounting to 30 million shillings within seven months.The second officer made transactions amounting to 7 million shillings within the same 7 months period.A boda boda rider suspected to be part of the money-minting cartel was responsible for ensuring the cash was deposited to the officers' MPESA accounts.''The cases are now being handled by a Thika Court as we continue to follow the others who are a part of the cartel.''
