Two women were arraigned before Molo court over arson charges.
The charge sheet on the case against Grace Wambui Ng’ang’a and Ann Njoki Mungai read that on April 6 at Cheponde in Molo district within Nakuru county, the two along with others who were not before the court wilfully and unlawfully set on fire a building valued at Sh 1.5 million.
The building is reported to be the property of Jacob Akanwa Atero.
The accused were also faced with second and third charges of malicious damage of property and injuring of animals.
The two women, along with others who did not appear before the court, were also accused of allegedly burning down two motor vehicles valued at Sh 300,000 and killed animals valued at Sh 130, 000.
Appearing before Resident Magistrate James Wanyanga, the two denied the charges and were granted a bond of Sh 100,000 and surety of the same amount.
The case will be mentioned April 21, 2015 and heard on September 16, 2015.
