More than 30 women from a women’s group calling itself Trailblazers Sacco Limited camped outside Thika police station after they got wind that the two had been arrested in Makongeni.

Speaking outside the police station on Thursday evening, one of the women, Janet Kalondu, said she allegedly lost Sh36, 000 through the Sacco to the two women who had been collecting money from them to save in the Sacco so that they can acquire a loan.

Another woman, Dorcus Mwende from Makongeni area, said the women who are leaders of the Sacco have allegedly been frustrating them every time they wanted to take a loan without explaining why the money was not forthcoming.
