There was drama at Nyacheki market Kisii County on Wednesday after two women engaged in a physical fight over a man.
Witnesses said the women hail from Matibo village in Kiomiti started fighting after a heated argument ensued between them.
Jane Manoti, a trader at the market said the man is married to a woman identified as Monyangi who accused the other woman of spoiling his marriage.
“Monyangi met her husband’s sidekick at the market and asked her to stop dating her husband but the other woman was angered and started the fight. Residents crowded and watched as the two were fighting,” said Ms Manoti.
Monyangi claimed that her husband has moved to the old woman’s home.
“My husband has abandoned me and our two children for you old woman. You should stop spoiling my marriage and look for another man of your age,” said Monyangi.
Traders at the market separated the two and asked them to involve local administrators to solve the matter.
