Campus is made of people from different backgrounds with different cultures and believes. However, we meet with the same goals of academic achievement hence being one community while in campus. It is therefore crucial that you understand these different types of people to be able to have a smooth life with your roommate. We have different types of roommates who are:
The bookworm We are all in campus to pursue our academic thirst. However, there is this group of people who go overboard. Bookworm roommates are difficult sometimes to deal with as they will always want a conducive environment to read. They don’t entertain loud music, storytelling or friends in their rooms as they are always in their books.
The Host A people’s person roommates are those who have every kind of friend you may think of. They bring lots of friends in the room until you, owners have nowhere to sit. More so, such people can bring on another group of roommates who start ‘sleeping over’. They are a bother especially when they bring friends every time you want some free time alone in the room.
The tech guy Some roommates can really be of help, like the tech guy roommates. They have all the programs you may think of. They can solve any computer issues and sometimes they develop their own programs too. Tech guy roommates are very great as they will teach you a new skill in computers.
The party freak Mostly, people love being such people’s roommates. They are always fun to have and entertaining. They are frequently nursing hangovers with the promise of never drinking again. They care less about what people say. Mostly, they mind their boundaries outside and inside the room.
The absentee In some cases, there is usually that one roommate whose whereabouts are unknown. They mostly come back late at night. You will know little about this roommate as he/she will only be making technical appearances to shower, eat or maybe when it’s late in the night, they come to sleep.
