Speaking outside Uasin Gishu County Assembly the bill sponsor, Josephine Tanui, said that once it is signed into law by Governor Jackson Mandago, it will reduce employment issues that have dogged the county for long.

"This bill will help to solve unemployment issues in the county. It will ensure workers are deployed to where their skills are required," said Tanui.

Tanui added that the bill seeks to bring about the equalisation of salaries among workers with same qualifications unlike it is now.

"Workers will be remunerated in accordance to their qualifications and professions. It also seeks to create solid organisational structures and proper chain of command," said Tanui.

Additionally, the MCA said that the bill will end the problem of salaries in the county as well as the issue of ghost workers.

Tanui promised that if the bill is signed into law she will table another motion seeking to lift a ban on employment by the county government that the assembly imposed last year.
