Uasin Gishu County Governemnt Jackson Mandago on Monday held a meeting with Belgian ambassador, HE Ms Roxane de Bilderling and her entourage to discuss a partnership on different projects.
Speaking in his office, Governor Mandago said that the partnership will enable boost the economy of the county.
“The partnership will help our county so much, especially creating jobs for our youths, since we will be providing have resources and manpower,” said Mandago.
Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno said that partnership in the field of agriculture will help the county utilize its resources by setting up more industries.
Belgium is one of the major developments partners in the country, and is ready to partner with Uasin Gishu in areas such as Agriculture, ICT, and Education and on environmental matters.
Other individuals present in the meeting were, Ms Mary Njogu - CEC Environment, Barnabas Sang CEC ICT & e-Government, Kenneth Misoi CO Education, and Sylvester Metto, the Legal advisor among other County officials.
The delegation will also tour other projects sponsored by the Belgian government.
