According to CeC of health Margaret Chepkwony, who spoke to journalists on Tuesday, the move is to ensure all hospitals are fully stocked with drugs.

"Shortage of drugs has been a major challenge but we are assuring the public that the already supplied drugs are enough," she said.

She added that the hospital officers should deliver quality services to the public since its their right.

She however warned nurses who sell drugs that they will be arrested and prosecuted.

"I urge wananchi to act as our watch dog by reporting any health officers selling drugs meant for the public," she said.
