According to County Executive Commissioner of Health Margaret Chepkwony, the move is meant to ensure all hospitals are fully stocked with drugs.

Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Ms Chepkwony assured  the public that the county was up to the task of ensuring that previous shortages were curbed fully through the supplies.

"Shortage of drugs has been a major challenge but we are assuring the public that the already supplied drugs are enough," she said.

She further urged the hospital officers fulfill their mandate of delivering quality services to the public since it was their their constitutional right.

Ms Chepkwony however warned nurses and any other medical officials engrossed in the malpractice of selling drugs that they would be arrested and prosecuted

"I urge wananchi to act as our watchdog by reporting any health officers selling drugs meant for the public," she said.
