Uasin Gishu County Assembly Majority leader Josephat Loloi has accused county executives of frustrating their efforts to perform oversight roles.
Briefing the press on Friday, Loloi accused the executives of being ignorant and denying county MCAs time to probe their work.
He added that county MCAs role is to oversight and ask questions on where they feel the county is not doing right.
“Our county executives or ministers have completely shut us off from their activities a move that has hindered our oversight role,” said Loloi.
Loloi asked the executives to change, or they will face the wrath of the MCAs, who he said represent the rights and interests of the people.
The leader however called on unity among the county officials, saying it is the only way through which development would be realized.
The leader urged Governor Jackson Mandago to bring all leaders on board for the sake of development, adding that the county has enormous resources that should be used to improve the living standards of the people.
The majority leader at the same time called on the county government to establish ways of curbing unemployment, noting that many youths are wondering on when they will be delivered from the bondage of unemployment.
