Uasin Gishu government has build Sh8.3 million eye clinic, one of its kind in the North Rift region for patients seeking eye services.
Speaking in his office Wednesday, Governor Jackson Mandago said the hospital is complete and will soon be commissioned for public use.
"The eye clinic which cost the county Sh8.3 million is situated in Huruma estate and is almost complete. I will soon officially commission it for public use. It will offer treatment for eye related diseases at a subsidized rate. This will also reduce the distance patients travel to travel to Nairobi to get treatment," he said.
He urged eye patients to make use of the facility once its doors are opened.
