The County government of Uasin Gishu on Wednesday held orderly nominations for Jubilee Party delegates who will participate in the party's 2017 nominations.
Governor Jackson Mandago, MPs Oscar Sudi (Kapseret) and Edwin Barchilei (Soy), Senator Isaac Melly and Assembly Speaker Isaac Terer attended the exercise held at an Eldoret Hotel.
Mandago commended the exercise, saying Jubilee was one party that gave equal opportunities for everyone contesting for an elective post through the party.
"There was order in this exercise and as leaders, we want to congratulate our people for this," said Mandago.
He added that Jubilee party was a political vehicle that observe democracy and one that would advance Kenya's development agenda.
Mandago also appealed for peaceful politicking even as the official vote hunt period nears start.
Several Counties holding the interim nominations experienced violence, with members clashing to support their favorites.
