Nasa principal Kalonzo Musyoka has castigated claims that Eldoret and particularly Uasin Gishu County, is a Jubilee 'stronghold'.
He said such claims are aimed at spreading disunity among Kenyans, and residents in the region.
According to the Wiper Democratic Movement leader, Uasin Gishu belongs to Kenyans, and not Nasa, or Jubilee.
"I am happy that you have hosted us very warmly. It has always believed that Eldoret is a Jubilee zone. Today I want to say this region is not a Jubilee or a Nasa zone. It belongs to you the people, the people of Kenya,'' he said.
Kalonzo was speaking during the inaugural Nasa public engagement after the formal signing of the coalition agreement, at Eldoret's 64 Stadium.
Hundreds of Kenyans attended the Saturday event.
It has always been perceived that the region belongs to Jubilee, politically, since Deputy President William Ruto hails from the area.
Also present were Moses Wetangula, Raila Odinga and Musalia Mudavadi.
