This is in what the aspirants say will enable all voters who had turned out to take part in the exercise.

Speaking to the press at the MV Patel voting center in Eldoret town, the aspirants led by Turbo MP Elisha Busienei, Huruma MCA Peter Chomba and Women rep aspirant Janet Kurgat Koech said voting should be allowed to go beyond the set datelines in centres still with long cues.

"People have expressed their desire to take part in this exercise and we urge that nobody should be locked out," said Koech.

"Most of those areas still witnessing long lines opened late and it will be fair if the voting would be extended even to 12 midnight," added Chomba.

As at 6pm hundreds of voters were still lining up to take part in the Jubilee primaries in several poling centres mainly within Eldoret town.

Some of the polling centres still with long cues include MV Patel that has over 17,000 registered voters and Uasin Gishu primary school.
