Jubilee nominees for Senate and Women Representative seats in Uasin Gishu county registered landslide wins following Tuesday's general elections.

According to final results released on Friday by the County Returning officer Jacktone Nyonje, Prof Margret Kamar clinched the Senate seat after garnering a massive 229,724 votes.

Her closest rival Independent candidate Robert Kemei had 87,290 votes while Thomas Murgor of ODM finished third 16,369 votes.

In the race for the Women representative seat, former registrar of Judiciary Gladys Boss Shollei was declared the winner with 224,922 votes far ahead of second placed Rael Chebichii, an independent candidate who managed 85,606 votes.

The two seats are the only ones where candidates garnered over 200,000 votes.

For the gubernatorial race, governor Jackson Mandago beat his only rival Bundotich Zedekiah popularly as Buzeki by over 40,000 votes to retain the seat.

Mandago garnered 193,606 votes against Buzeki's 148,121.
