[Photo|County Government of Uasin Gishu]The County Government of Uasin Gishu has begun the formulation of developing the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP) 2018-2022.County officials led by the CeCs, COs and various Directors toured Kaptagat, Karuna/Meibeki, Moi's Bridge, Olare/Ainabkoi, Moiben and Kapkures wards where they mingled with the members of the public on various discussions over proposals that will be put forward in the CIDP.Among the recommendations by the members of the public during the Wednesday tour were;1. Water catchment areas, drilling of boreholes and grading of available dams be allocated funds since the need for water is a major crisis across the County.2. Roads to be looked at, in this case, County surveyors to be on the site some days before any road activity commence.3. All projects that have stalled or rather not complete to be looked at.4. The County government should improve health centers in terms of equipping and employing more staff.5. The County government should offer trainings to farmers on dairy farming. Kijana na acre initiative to be improved as well as building of multipurpose stores where farmers will store maize seeds and fertilizers. 6. Markets to be standardized for hawkers and any other business person to relocate to them.7. The County government should supply horticulture seedlings to farmers.8. The County government should increase bursary and initiate ECDE feeding program.9. The County government should issue indigenous tree seedlings for planting in different institutions, public and private land.10. Resurvey all public lands and initiate fencing.11. The County government should sponsor the needy students across the County.12. The County government should consider the issuance of NHIF cover to those people above 70-years and initiate a de-worming programme to ECDE children.The officials said the proposals will lead the County government of Uasin Gishu in developing a concrete five year development plan for the County.The County budgetary committee will sample all the recommendations and develop an estimated budget that will be taken back to the public for scrutiny and thereafter a final draft of the CIDP will be produced.The County teams will be meeting residents across other wards as advertised in the local dailies and as well as the County Led Screen and the County's social media platforms.
