The leader of majority in the Uasin gishu County assembly has called on the members of national assembly to support the retention of CDF kitty.
Speaking in his office on Thursday, Josphat Lowoi, who is also the MCA for Karuna/Mibeki ward urged the leaders to come out and support CDF.
“CDF has done so much to the marginalized constituencies, scrapping it, MPs will have nothing to do,” said Lowoi.
Lowoi added that the development fund have catered for the education of many bright, orphans and needy students in both lower and tertiary education.
“The CDF kit has supported many projects such as schools and dispensaries in our sub counties, that is why it is important for us,”said Lowoi.
The leader of majority said that those development funds are the only tangible allocation to the public, and it helps them in many ways.
He said that the government should amend the constitution and implement what is legal.
“We should not be politicking over the funds, because these funds have really improved livelihoods of local resident,” added Lowoi.
