Uasin Gishu County leaders have vowed to unite residents whether they voted for or against President Uhuru Kenyatta.

They said they will work for everyone equally no matter their tribal or political affiliations.

"Politics is now over, we will ensure that we bring everyone on board by including them in my government," said governor Jackson Mandago.

"We will also carry out campaigns across the county meant to bring people together and continue living as brothers and sister," said Kapsaret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi.

They, however, urged opposition leader Raila Odinga to stop unnecessary sideshows and instead embrace dialogue.

"I call upon NASA leader Raila Odinga for the sake of the nation to swallow his pride and accept dialogue," noted Moiben Member of parliament Sila Tiren.
