The National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) has revealed that it is monitoring 176 social media groups linked with spreading hate messages ahead of the general elections.
NCIC chairman Francis Ole Kaparo on Thursday said of the groups being monitored, 12 are national and 36 county-based.
Four of the social media groups ranked among top in spreading inciteful messages are from Uasin Gishu county.
They include: Uasin Gishu County Forum, Kapseret Constituency Forum, Uasin Gishu County Discussion Forum, and Langas Yetu.
