The leader of majority in the Uasin Gishu County Assembly Josphat Lowoi has applauded president Uhuru Kenyatta’s move of merging all the political parties in the Jubilee coalition.

He says the merger will lead to the formation of a strong and formidable Jubilee Alliance Party that will integrate people from all divides.

Speaking at the county Assembly on Thursday Lowoi said that this will help the party to have a national look and thus will attract a membership from across the board and that it would not longer be associated with two dominant tribes.

“The party will have representation from all over the country where grassroots elections will be conducted and I urged Kenyans to take their identity cards thereafter register as Jubilee Alliance party members since it is the only party that has the national look and whose manifesto is meant to improve the lives of Kenyans and as leaders from the grassroots will ensure that the party gets mileage and wins the next general election,” he said.

He urged the president and his deputy William Ruto to ensure that elections of party officials is done in a democratic and transparent way to avoid party wrangles.

This comes amid rising dissent among the Kalenjin people who accused the president and his TNA of shortchanging them in government appointments.
