According to the mover of the motion Kaptagat MCA Jonathan Ng'etich, the meeting will give an opportunity to the CeCs and the CO's to update the MCA's on the department implementation as well as deliberate on the budget progress reports.

"We are not aware of the stars of projects initiated by the executive arm of this county government yet we are only about a month to the closure of a financial year and this is why we need this meeting," said

Ngetich, the chairman of the Budget and Appropriation Commitee in the Assembly.

Kamagut MCA Jeremiah Sang who is also the Assembly's Finance Committee chairman seconded the motion and warned that the county might return to the national government a huge sum of development funds.

"Time is not on our side and its good that we have this meeting as soon as possible because if nothing is done betwem now and June 30, over Sh2 billion might be returned to national governments," Sang noted.

The motion received overwhelming support from the MCA's present who lamented that the executive arm of the county government had failed to provide them with regular implementation status reports as stipulated in the Public Finance Management Act (2012).

"We need to be aware of how things have been done and it's important that we get an update on our development projects. Implementation status and budget progress reports have not been forthcoming for the past three years," said Moisbridge MCA Daniel Sanga.
