Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi faced a hostile reception when he attended the funeral of 16 people of one family who perished in a road accident at the Kamukuywa Bridge along the Kitale -Webuye road early this month.

Sudi who had been send by Deputy President William Ruto to represent him at the funeral was booed by mourners during the burial in Vihiga.

Trouble begun when the vocal MP asked residents to ignore the National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga.

The hostile mourners shouted down Sudi who braved on to give his speech before he was forced out of the podium as hostility grew.

"No matter how loud you shout, Jubilee is in control. Nothing is going to change," the MP told mourners.

He said he had been send with Sh500,000 by DP Ruto to give to the bereaved families while hitting at the NASA leader.

"I did not see 'Baba' giving any help."

Raila and NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi had addressed the mourners and left for another function when Sudi was speaking.
