A section of Muslims in Uasin Gishu County have condemned area CIPK chairman Abubakar Bini, for saying that Muslims in the county are politically divided by gubernatorial Independent candidate Zedekiah Bundotich Buzeki.

Led by Uasin Gishu County Muslims youth leader Mohamed Ali and Abdul Malik, they termed Bini as a busybody wanting to enrich himself. "Muslims in the county are not divided as purported. It is our democratic right to choose leaders of our choice without being coarced," said Ali in Eldoret town, Sunday."Is it wrong for us to have Buzeki as our preferred candidate. Bini should shut up and concentrate on his work of teaching in madrasas," added Malik. They condemned Bini for allegedly propagating division in the Muslim religion."Who gave him the mandate to talk on our behalf. We won't just stay mum while our name is being tarnished," noted Mohamed. Bini recently condemned Uasin Gishu County gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich Buzeki for dividing Muslims into Mandago and Buzeki camps. They however, urged aspirants to conduct their campaigns peacefully and refrain from using incentive utterances. The Chairman of Imams and Muslim preachers Abubakar Bini refuted the claims terming then as ill intended. "I am a Muslim leader. How can I propagate division," said Bini."Let politics not divide us," he added.
