Politicians who issued inciting statements during the campaigns for the Jubilee party primaries in Uasin Gishu might soon face legal actions.

This is after the County Commissioner Abdi Hassan revealed that security apparatus in the county were analysing recordings of politicians utterances during the campaigns.

Speaking to the press in Eldoret on Wednesday, Hassan said any politician who will be found to have issued statements that are a threat to the county's security will face the full force of the law.

"Whatever happened in nominations has been recorded, it will be analysed and whoever broke the law will have himself to blame," said Hassan.

He also asked individuals who were attacked during the nomination campaigns to record statements with the police so that he culprits are arrested and prosecuted.

"Whoever was attacked during nominations should report and identify culprits for action to be taken a as we begin the campaign period we will work as a security team on how to manage political campaigns to avoid a clash between two rival group," Hassan said.

The County Commissioner further revealed that the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) agents, the police and other National government administrative officers have been equipped with gadgets that will help monitor all political meetings across the county during the campaigns for the August 8 general elections.
