Uasin Gishu county government volleyball teams registered impressive wins in their first games of the ongoing inter-county games (KICOSCA/CASA).

Men's county government team beat their Laikipia counterparts in three straight sets of 25-20, 25-9 and 25-15.

The county Assembly men's volleyball team also won their first game silencing Embu County Assembly by three sets to nil.

Uasin Gishu being represented by 15 teams are seeking to better last year's results in Kiambu county where they emerged second overall and took first place in athletics.

This year's games that begin on Sunday are being held in Machakos county with a team that will participate in the East Africa Local Authorities Sports and Cultural games (EALA) expected to be named at the end of the games on Saturday.

Kakamega county will host the 2018 edition of KICOSCA/CASA games that brings together teams from all the 47 county governments and county assemblies.
