He said that horticulture farming will be base on tissue culture for bananas, passion fruits, avocados, beans, vegetables and sun flowers.
Mandago said that the county has good weather that supports the crops adding that the county government will seek professional advice on horticulture farming.
He also observed that they are liaising with potential investors who will chip in and help actualise the project.
Governor Mandago however said that the county will stick to its traditional crops which are maize, millet and wheat farming besides the new project plan.
Meanwhile, Mandago has said that plans to establish alternative markets for maize and wheat farmers are at an advanced stage.
He noted that maize farmers from the region lack market for their produce, a situation that has seen them lose value for their produce.
