Uasin Gishu County Government has signed memorandum with Kenya vision 2030 in an effort to help the County government in prioritising its projects.

The signing which involved Uasin Gishu County Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno and Director Gituro wainaina aims at helping in solving challenges that the county faces.

To attain vision 2030, the MOU will assist in development when it starts from the counties all the way up to the national government.

“We support devolution fully and our aim is to help in improving services rendered to the public and will work with all counties to achieve the same, this way we will have achieved our goal,” said Gituro.

Speaking in his office, Uasin Gishu county deputy governor Daniel Chemno said that the memorandum will help the county sharing experiences in management and solving challenges in security.

Chemno said that the memoranda will also help the county prepare and executing performance contracts.

He also urged farmers to grow cash crops such as coffee as an alternative source of income to avoid loses they face when depending on maize as the only source of income.
