A delegation from the Netherlands embassy on Thursday paid a courtesy call on Uasin Gishu Governor Jackson Mandago.

The guests who have expertise in spatial and physical planning were led by Remco Rolvink, Caroline Warmerdam and Stephen Lewis.

The team will work with the Uasin Gishu County and national governments on urban planning to improve the ongoing planning being done by the county.

“The documents on roads for resource mapping is coming up soon. Uasin Gishu aims at building a bypass and I believe your expertise will be of great benefit. Through projects like this, we can invite investors from Netherlands,” said Mandago.

He added, “We got large farms but the production on those farms is not to the maximum. Our farmers are willing to learn and work together with investors to increase production.”

The visitors said that Uasin Gishu is the pilot for the project before rolling out the project in other counties.
