Sabatia Member of Parliament Alfred Agoi has said that the National alliance party (TNA) and the united Republican Party (URP) have betrayed the United democratic forum party (UDF) by forming the Jubilee Alliance Party.
Agoi said that TNA and URP have not recognized UDF, despite it being part of the Jubilee Coalition, after they signed a post election agreement with the two parties after the 2013 general elections.
Speaking at a forum at Nakuru town Monday morning, Agoi said that TNA and URP have openly shown that they do not need UDF to survive, saying the latter has been treated as a nobody in jubilee.
He said that even on government appointments, UDF got nothing even after it agreed to work with the government.
“UDF is almost dead and the reason is because we decide to work with jubilee after 2013.The people we chose to work with never appreciated our support and have even gone further to form a party of their own ready for 2017 and I want to tell my brother Mudavadi that we better work with people who can appreciate us and he needs to move with speed before he becomes politically irrelevant,” said Agoi.
Agoi said that UDF will support Mudavadi should he decide to work with CORD leader Raila Odinga ahead of the 2017 elections.
“If Mudavadi and Raila can work together for the benefit of the Luhya community, then we will support him fully and we want him not to repeat the mistakes he made in 2013,” he said.
