The Lamu East MP, Shariff Athman has decamped from the UDF party and has joined Jubilee.
Athman spoke of his exit from the party on Monday at Manda Island.
The MP said that his decision to move to Jubilee was nothing personal, just that the party was better at executing development plans that it promised.
Athman, has, however, not specified which Jubilee party he will be under but he assured that he shall do that in 2017, ahead of the General Elections.
"I am now officially in Jubilee and we are already working together. I have seen what they have been doing since they got to the office. It is an alliance that has brought development and has united Kenyans,’’said Athman.
The MP is now the second MP from the area to move to Jubilee just a week after Governor Issa Timamy.
