The United Democratic Movement Party (UDM) has unveiled former Director of Public Prosecutions Philip Murgor as the party's Presidential candidate in the 2017 general elections.
Speaking to the media on Thursday shortly after being unveiled, Murgor, who is also a constitutional lawyer lauded his candidature, saying he is best suited to replace President Uhuru Kenyatta who is also seeking a second term as president.
“Kenyans finally have a credible candidate alternative party and presidential candidate who will end tribalism, corruption and inequality,” Murgor said.
UDM's National Executive Committee endorsed Murgor as the party's Presidential candidate, pending ratification by the party's National Delegates Conference as per the party's constitution.
