Twelve Kenyan fishermen arrested by Ugandan authorities have been released.
The 12 were released on Friday with each paying a fine of Sh20,000.
A Kampala court released the group on this condition though the charges against them have remained unknown.
They were arrested on Sunday and Monday and detained at Riabana and Kalangala Islands in Uganda.
According to Suba North OCPD Wilson Nanga, the fishermen were told to take their boats and return to Kenya.
"I don't really know why they were arrested. What we know is that they trespassed into Uganda during their fishing expedition," he said.
