KCCA FC assistant coach Byekwaso Morley has conceded that the Kenya Premier League is the best in the region.
KCCA FC, who are the reigning Uganda Premier League (UPL) Champions are currently in the country, where they are lined up to face KPL sides for their preseason tour.
According to Byekaso, they chose Kenya as part of their preparation ahead of their CAF Champions League campaign because the country has strong teams that they can test their preparedness with.
“If you look at the region (CECAFA), the KPL is the best league by a mile and we thought it wise to prepare for our continental assignments here as it would give us the much needed test," soka.co.ke quoted him.
“They have teams like Gor Mahia, Tusker, AFC Leopards and Tusker which I believe are good teams that have produced some of the best talents in the region,” he added.
KCCA begun their campaign in the country on a low note after losing to KPL champions Gor Mahia.
They, however, bounced back with a convincing win against Tusker FC in their second friendly encounter.
They are set to face Sofapaka and AFC Leopards before they concluded their tour.
The side will be facing CNaPS of Madagascar in their opening match in CAF Champions League.
