A video footage showing President Uhuru Kenyatta being heckled in Mtwapa has gone viral online even as the country prepared for another epic battle between Uhuru and his main rival Raila Odinga.

Just under five years, the two political protagonists will yet again face each other in another epic political battle in the history of the country.

Considered as an opposition stronghold, Kenyatta alongside his deputy William Ruto had gone to consolidate Kilifi votes on Tuesday.

Youths seemingly in Jubilee attires chants anti-Jubilee slogans as Kenyatta tries to contain then but all in vein.

Earlier in his campaigns across the coastal county, Uhuru had vowed to ensure area governor Amason Kingi is jailed over alleged graft, remarks which elicited criticism from opposition supporters.

Although it is not clear what their grievances were, the rowdy youths kept on chanting anti-government slogans leading to the President’s decision to abandon his speech and proceed to the neighboring Kwale.

“Coast is no longer an opposition stronghold and I want to warn them of an impending defeat,” Uhuru's said in his final coastal tour at Taveta on Wednesday.

“Opposition has nothing new to offer and they are only after derailing government agenda to our people.”

It was the first time unlike his deputy; Uhuru was encountering a restless audience since the official campaign kicked off in June.
