Kenya conspicuously disappeared on Wednesday night at a UN National Assembly during a key vote on whether or not to recognize Jerusalem as Israeli's capital.
President Donald Trump had recognized the controversial city as Jewish state's capital, a move that angered many nations leading to the critical vote.
Majority of the nations (128) voted against Trump's move with only nine voting in favour. Thirty Five (35) nations abstained, with US vowing to 'revisit' the mater.
But in what is yet to be explained at least by Nairobi authorities, Kenya was no where within the assembly during the crucial voting.
During his time in office, President Uhuru Kenyatta has enjoyed cordial relationship with Washington DC and the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In fact, during Uhuru's controversial swearing-in, Netanyahu was one of few European head of government who graced the occasion.
Also, the US has been pushing for dialogue between Uhuru and Raila Odinga and is among the nations that were first to recognize Uhuru's controversial victory.
The outcome means that the world will continue recognizing Tel Aviv as Israeli's capital, a move that Trump still insists is illegal.
Kenya's foreign ministry is yet to give an official statement over the move that was widely criticized.
