PNU vice chairman Sheikh Juma Ngao has claimed that President Uhuru has taken the Coast region for granted and does not appreciate his support.
Ngao says Uhuru has isloated residents in the Coastal region and because of that they will not vote for him.
He added that he opted to support the opposition because of several government policies that made the standard of living difficult.
"I decided to support NASA because life has become difficult for Kenyans. The price of maize flour has hit Sh200," he said
According to Ngao, Uhuru rewarded those who opposed him instead of his diehard supporters.
He gave examples of ODM members Dan Kazungu who is the Mining Cabinet Secretary, the late Joseph Nkaissery and Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya.
"The dedicated government supporters were cast aside. He dumped them and does not even want to see them at State House," Ngao said.
He also claimed that Uhuru has been biased against the Coast region while also not addressing their interests specifically agriculture.
"Our main crop at the Coast is cocunuts. We haven't received help to enhance production. The cashew nut industry in Kilifi has been dead for decades but the Uhuru administration has ignored the region and favoured industries in other countries," he said
