Balambala Constituency MP Abdikadir Aden now claims that President Uhuru Kenyatta is afraid of losing the August 8 general election.

The MP claims that the President alleged attack on opposition governors is a clear indication that he is panicking ahead of the polls.

Addressing journalists during an ODM press briefing in Nairobi on Monday, the Balambala lawmaker accused President Kenyatta of allegedly intimidating opposition governors.

“It is clear to us that President Uhuru Kenyatta and Jubilee are afraid of losing election and have resulted to insulting and intimidating opposition governors,” he claimed.

The MP said that opposition will not be intimidated by Jubilee government lectures on development.

Aden said that President Uhuru’s move to question opposition governor’s development track record leaving out Jubilee governors is unfair.

The lawmaker noted that President Kenyatta’s public lecture of Turkana Governor Josephat Nanok and his Mombasa counterpart Hassan Joho on development is malicious and meant to intimidate them.

The Balambala MP said that the opposition agenda will not be diverted, adding that they are keen to send Uhuru’s government packing.

“Let Jubilee government know that their intimidation and harassment will not deter our bid to send them packing,” he said.

President Uhuru Kenyatta has been questioning governors to explain what they have done for Kenyans in the last four years of devolution.

Last week the president asked Turkana Governor to explain what he has done for Turkana people with the money he has been receiving  from the national government.

The President claimed that Turkana has received close to Sh40 Billion in the last four years but has nothing to show for.

On Sunday the President Kenyatta also questioned Governor Joho’s development track record.

The angry president accused governor Joho and others of taking credit of national government projects.

On Monday Joho was locked out of Uhuru’s Mtongwe ferry launch with the President asking the governor to stop following him since he was not his wife.
