President Uhuru Kenyatta has agreed to the reconciliatory calls by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin WelbyPresident Kenyatta said during the ceremony alongside Anglican Church of Kenya Archbishop Joseph Ole Sapit, NASA leader Raila Odinga and Chief Justice David Maraga that Welby's message was heard and will be adhered to.“We heard your message of reconciliation and I hope every single person in this room heard your message,” said Kenyatta.Archbishop Justin Welby urged the leaders to reconcile to help the situation in the country. He urged the leaders to solve the disagreements peacefully for the good of the people.“Reconciliation is not mediation or arbitration or trickery and abandoning principle, it is the transformation of violent and destructive conflict into lives in which disagreement is still there but is dealt with peacefully for the common good,” Archbishop Welby said according to CitizenTVThis comes after chaos erupted in the country following the level of political division that has raised secession calls by some leaders.
