Jubilee Party Vice- Chairman David Murathe has said that President Uhuru Kenyatta should be a dictator.

According to Murathe, being a dictator will enable Uhuru to impact meaningful development in the country.

Speaking during an interview on KTN News, Mr Murathe singled out countries like Rwanda and Uganda were stable because of the type of leadership they had.

“What this country needs now is a benevolent dictator. People have been too soft so that things have gone rogue,” Murathe disclosed.

He added that by taking a strong stance the President would prevent certain individuals from taking the country hostage with tough demands.

He was appearing on the interview with Head of NASA Secretariat Norman Magaya who slammed Murathe.

“We will defeat you, David, we will not allow you to introduce dictatorship in this country. You will not intimidate us, we will have an election that conforms to the Constitution”, Magaya said.

There is uncertainty over the repeat polls slated for October 26 over a number of demands issued by the opposition.
