President Uhuru Kenyatta has been asked to do everything within his powers to ensure the country goes back to normalcy after the disputed repeat presidential election.
Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi says elections are over and its time the president focused on ensuring peace prevails across the country.
Speaking in Eldoret on Saturday, Sudi expressed concerns over incidences of chaos that has rocked several perceived opposition strongholds.
The Jubilee lawmaker said it was time the president acted to bring order.
"I want to tell the president that it's time he used the sword he was given when taking power to ensure things are back to normal in this country," Sudi said.
"Leaders are very few in this country, only about 400 but we have millions of Kenyans that should be protected and the government has the mandate to ensure peace prevails," he added.
The Jubilee MP further asked the government not to tolerate any activities by the opposition that might negatively impact on the country's economy and threaten cohesion.
