President Uhuru Kenyatta says he will ensure opposition leader Raila Odinga is given a befitting treatment after August polls.

Uhuru further urges residents of Nyanza to join Jubilee so that to be part of next government which he insists will be under his stewardship.

“I want to assure you that I have nothing against Odinga. He is my friend and we thank him for his contribution to this nation,” he said.

“The ground has shifted and time has come for our people to back Jubilee. Personally I will ensure that Mzee is well taken care of in his retire,” Uhuru added.

He was speaking in Mbita Township and the shows of Lake Victoria on Wednesday when he opened a multibillion bridge that connects Mbita and Rusinga Island.

For the second time in less than five years, the two politicians are set to face each another in yet another epic battle.

While Luo-Nyanza region has predominantly supported Odinga, Odinga hopes the ground will shift in his favour this August.
