President Uhuru Kenyatta renewed his onslaught on NASA leaders during his tour of Bungoma County on Tuesday, a region that is widely considered an Opposition turf.

While accusing NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka of having no development record during their time in government, Uhuru said that the duo should be the last to criticize his development record.

"When we took over power, all the factories here had collapsed. But we have revived them," the president said.

"They all collapsed during the tenure of those other guys (Kalonzo, Raila and Wetangula) in government. What did they do to revive them? Nothing. They are now busy moving around saying that Jubilee has not done anything. What did they do in the over 50 years they have been in government? They are only good at propaganda and throwing insults," Uhuru added.

While urging the residents to support his re-election bid, Uhuru defended his development record in the county even as he highlighted some of the development initiatives that his government has undertaken.

On his part, Governor Ken Lusaka said that the region will rally behind the Jubilee leader in his quest for a second term in office.
