President Uhuru Kenyatta has reportedly rescued his Kisii Jubilee campaign team by unleashing millions as campaigns enter homestretch.
Jubilee activities in the vote reach county had stalled with sources indicating that State House had reservations against those entrusted to run campaigns.
Contrary to opposition NASA team that has been coordinating systematic campaigns under Governor James Ongwae, Jubilee campaign team has been moving around separately.
But last week, it is understood that through former minister Simon Nyachae, Uhuru released millions to sustain campaigns.
“Yes I can confirm that we had a meeting at Nyachae’s house in Nairobi and he helped present our case,” said a source who spoke in confidence.
The source added: “It was an issue of misunderstanding and I am glad that Jubilee has put everything in order.”
While Ongwae is taking charge of NASA campaigns, his governorship rival Chris Obure is in charge of Jubilee team.
