President Uhuru Kenyatta has betrayed the people of coastal Kenya.

This is according to PNU vice chairman Sheikh Juma Ngao.

Ngao said the president does not appreciate the support people at the coast offer him.

He said Uhuru has alienated the residents and that they will never vote for him again.

"I decided to support NASA because life has become difficult for Kenyans. The price of maize flour has hit Sh200," Ngao said as quoted by the Star.

He accused Uhuru of choosing those who opposed him instead of Uhuru rewarding his diehard supporters.

His argument cited former ODM members Gideon Mung'aro, Dan Kazungu (Mining Cabinet Secretary), the late Interior CS Joseph Nkaissery, Salim Mvurya (Kwale Governor), Mustafa Idd, and Zainab Chidzuga.

"The dedicated government supporters were cast aside. He dumped them and does not even want to see them at State House," Ngao lamented.

"Our main crop at the Coast is coconuts. We haven't received help to enhance production. The cashew nut industry in Kilifi has been dead for decades but the Uhuru administration has ignored the region and favoured industries in other counties," he added.
