President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Kenyans to evaluate the actions of politicians known for using deceptive rhetoric but who in reality do not have their interests at heart.

He attacked Nasa presidential candidate Raila Odinga, saying when he was the prime minister, he did not recognise people of the Muslim community.

According to him, the Jubilee government has employed a huge number of Muslim religion, from Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Ambassadors to chairmen of State Parastatals.

He said Jubilee does not discriminate on religion or region, citing Cabinet Secretaries Amina Mohammed (Foreign Affairs), Adan Mohamed (Industrialisation), Hassan Wario (Sports), and Najib Balala (Tourism).

"Let the ODM leader Raila Odinga tell Muslims what he did for them when he had 20 Cabinet slots in the Coalition government,” Uhuru challenged the Opposition chief.

Speaking when he visited Lamu County and addressed a political rally, Wednesday, Uhuru called on residents to rally behind him, and support his re-election bid.
