President Uhuru Kenyatta insists that he has not sacked any minister despite speculations that those sidelined may face axe as he seeks to reconstitute his cabinet.

In a function skipped by his DP on Friday, Uhuru retained six ministers and nominated three others to his cabinet.

And through Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe, Uhuru says that the changes had nothing with terminating services of any minister.

"He has not sacked anyone and the changes were all about the fight against corruption,"reports the Sunday Nation.

Similarly, State House spokesperson Manoah Esipisu reiterated that all Cabinet Secretaries remains in their duties.

"This is to clarify that CSs currently in office as advised until instructed otherwise," read Esipisu's statement.

Those retained include Fred Matiang'i (Internal Coordination), Henry Rotich (Treasury), Charles Keter (Energy), James Macharia (Transport), Najib Balala (Tourism) and Joe Mucheru.

Key ministers such as Eugene Wamalwa, Amina Mohammed and Mwangi Kiunjuri were however sidelined.
