President Uhuru Kenyatta has challenged both his supporters and those allied to opposition to work together without animosity.
His message comes after chaotic rallies for either sides in Kisumu, Baringo and Kiambu where opposition supporters jeered rival leaders.
At Kajiado, Uhuru maintained that his differences with Odinga were only ideological adding that they would be solved on ballot during voting.
“My brother Raila I a friend whom I respect and whatever you see is just political differences. I challenge my supporters and his to be tolerant.
“You gain nothing from jeering a leader. As much as you may not agree with him, let someone talk and solve you issues on ballot,” added Kenyatta.
When addressing Kiambu residents in Thika, Odinga was forced to cut short his speech due to jeers from supporters believed to be diehards of Kenyatta.
Similarly in Kisumu, Deputy President William Ruto endured torrid moments when locals jeered him when selling Jubilee agenda.
On Friday, Odinga had challenged supporters to maintain calm and allow politicians to traverse the country freely.
“Jeering someone does not help. You should take a moment and listen to what he or she has to say because this is politics,” he said.
