Hassan Joho warns that he may be restricted from participating in state events but the ‘intimidation’ cannot deter him from fighting for what he thinks is right.
For the second time in as many months, the Mombasa Governor was barred from attending commissioning of SGR project in Mombasa by armed GSU officers.
“They can block me from going to their meetings but they cannot shut my mouth,” Joho told a mammoth crowd in Kakamega on Saturday.
He added: “We cannot shy away from questioning corruption deals, unfair distribution of resources or opportunities which Jubilee government has perfected on.”
In what is viewed as political feud with Jubilee administration, Joho has had his security details withdrawn by government in two occasions.
Also, there were fears that he could not be cleared by IEBC to defend his seat over alleged forgery of academic papers but after a long battle, he was given a go ahead.
In the coast, the ODM deputy leader has been appointed as the head of NASA campaigns and has never hesitated to launch a scathing attack on Jubilee whenever he gets an opportunity.
