The government has been asked to decisively take a step and protect Kenyans from rampant killings that have claimed several lives in the past few years. Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo has told President Uhuru Kenyatta to take charge and fulfil the oath of office that he took to protect the dignity and secure all Kenyans. Gumbo said that it is high time Kenyan soldiers returned home saying that this country cannot continue to lose innocent lives. He regretted that it is unfortunate that certain individuals are taking advantage of Kenyans suffering, saying that the idea of building a wall at the border is a scam just to benefit a few people.                                     Speaking in Memba Sub location in Rarieda constituency during the burial of Anita Mila Adhola who was a student at Garissa University, the legislator regretted that it is unfortunate that Kenyans can no longer take refuge even in church.       He therefore called on leaders from North Eastern to come clean and shed light on the ongoing killings by the militia group Al Shabaab saying that this is no longer a terrorism but a religious war. Gumbo at the same time called on the president to relook at the security structure of this country and let those capable of handling the docket be given a chance despite their tribal back ground.
