A cleric in Nyamira County has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to give more government posts to residents of Nyamira people.

Abraham Mbuya of Church of God says the region broke jinx by elected Jubilee candidate despite being an opposition stronghold.

“The people of Nyamira County are performers and a good example is Interior Cs Fred Matiang’i," he said.

"I am challenging President Uhuru to consider giving more senior posts in his government to the people of Nyamira because we are ready to work with his government,” he added

He challenged elected leaders from the County to focus on development and work with the Jubilee administration.
